Tender description

Temporary industrial steel structures are required to store recovered waste packages until a decontamination and disposal route is confirmed. The contract scope is for erect, hire and dismantle of three temporary structures on Harwell site. Lot 1: Magnox currently have three temporary structures in place to facilitate the storage of waste located at the Harwell site. Due to unforeseen delays in managing the disposal of the waste, the structures are required for the following durations: Hanger 10 Tent: 36 months B525 Tent: 24 months B351 Tent: 12 months Magnox has analysed the risks associated with the removal of contaminated waste from one tent to another. This exposes Magnox not only financially, but also from a health and safety perspective.
