Short-Range Certifiaction (SRC) Courses

Tender description

This is the delegated service to provide, approve and oversee suitably qualified personnel to produce and administer the course and examination used to gain the Short-Range Certificate (SRC) and issue licenses in respect of the same with the authority and on behalf of the MCA. Please note a portion of all fees received for the issuance of examination and licenses is payable to the MCA. The contract duration will be 5 years It is expected that the successful provider will ensure that the courses/examinations are accessible to the public, have a harmonised examination syllabus and examination syllabus guidelines for SRC for non SOLAS vessels recommended by the Conference of European Posts and Telecommunications (CEPT) and adopted by resolution of the European Radio communications Committee from time to time (currently CEPT/ERC/REC 31-04 (Nicosia 1994 and revised in Kyiv 2009).
