The West Yorkshire Combined Authority wishes to commission partners to deliver one part of a package of entrepreneurial support to achieve our ambition of unleashing an entrepreneurial revolution in West Yorkshire as set out in the Economic Recovery Plan.We will be holding a supplier event on Thursday 7th October 11:30-12:30 which shall be used to educate suppliers in the marketplace about the opportunity.For further information on the event and/or an invitation please reach out to: procurement@westyorks-ca.gov.uk. Lot 1: The West Yorkshire Combined Authority wishes to commission partners to deliver one part of a package of entrepreneurial support to achieve our ambition of unleashing an entrepreneurial revolution in West Yorkshire as set out in the Economic Recovery Plan.This commission forms part of a package of support being delivered to support start- ups in the region. The Combined Authority and its local authority partners (hereafter referred to as the CA) want to encourage a greater number of individuals from all our diverse communities to explore establishing their own enterprise and providing the right opportunity and support if they decide to do so – leading ultimately to the creation of new businesses and jobs in the region to support economic recovery. There are three programmes:Programme 1: Inspiration phase. Promoting entrepreneurship as a career/life choice for people of all ages and all backgroundsProgramme 2: New start up support. Providing support to start up a business, not limited by sector or growth potential.Programme 3: Support for innovative entrepreneurs - providing intensive and targeted support for individuals with the potential to become successful innovative entrepreneurs and/or businesses.This commission focuses on Programme 3. Programmes 1&2 may act as a funnel for workstream 3 but by no means exclusively.
