Intelligent Transport Systems - Equipment Maintenance Contract Gen.3

Tender description

Transport Infrastructure Ireland (TII) owns, maintains and operates a network of roadside Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) equipment that communicates with a central control centre called the Motorway Operations Control Centre (MOCC), which is located in Dublin Tunnel. The MOCC operates ITS equipment to improve road safety and increase the efficient flow of traffic on the national road network. The primary objective of this Contract is to ensure the availability of the ITS equipment for use by TII and MOCC including the communications network and the power supplies. The successful tenderer shall maintain the roadside equipment to a service level defined in the Contract. This ITS Equipment Maintenance Contract Gen. 3 shall involve the maintenance, inspection, reporting, inventory and fault repair of ITS equipment. The Contract will include ancillary works relating to the maintenance and the provision of new and replacement ITS equipment on or around designated national and non-national routes. The Contractor’s responsibilities in compliance with all requirements and provisions of the Contract shall include but not be limited to the following: · Ensuring that all equipment, subject of the Contract, is functioning correctly and as intended, including communicating appropriate data to the associated systems; · Ensuring that all information relating to the equipment, subject of the Contract, is correctly recorded and available to all stakeholders; · Adoption of an Asset and Fault Management System; · Fault Correction and Management; · Storage and maintenance of an inventory of TII owned Spares; · Undertaking planned maintenance to reduce the occurrence of faults; · Provision and installation of ITS equipment as specified by TII; · General works associated with the installation, renewal, upgrade and maintenance of ITS equipment as and when instructed by TII; · Completion of handover tasks; and · Ancillary works in relation to the above.
