<p>The Government of Jersey (the "Contracting Authority") has launched its Inspiring Active Places Strategy (the "Strategy"), an ambitious investment plan in the Islands public sport and wellbeing facilities. The Strategy sets out a 10-year plan for investing over &pound;100m creating a range of Sport and Wellbeing facilities across the island to replace an ageing sporting estate. As a part of the Strategy, the Contracting Authority is seeking to procure and appoint a specialist contractor (the "Contractor") that will design, fabricate, manufacture, assembly and complete the structural frame and fabric coverings (and associated works) (the "Works") for the new sports centre at Oakfield. The Contractor will initially enter into an agreement with the Contracting Authority, and provide design and pre-planning advice, and at the appropriate time commence fabrication activities. The agreement with the Contracting Authority for the Works will contain within an option for either novation or assignment (to a main contractor, responsible for the wider works) in the future.
