ELM Wider Impacts (Phase 1)

Tender description

Defra's Environmental Land Management (ELM) policy stream requires the provision of an assessment of the wider economic and social impacts associated with the ELM schemes such as Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI), Local Nature Recovery (LNR) and Landscape Recovery (LR). This project requires an analysis of the impact of land management schemes on employment and productivity effects of agri-businesses; the impact of land management schemes on food production in England, the distributional impact on income groups by geographical location; the impact on competition; and the substitution, displacement, and leakage effects of land management schemes. This will form the initial phase (Phase-1) to be developed in subsequent projects. Lot 1: Research and analysis of the wider socio-economic impacts associated with the ELM scheme.
