Tender description

This notice reflects the value of spend for this service for a 1 Year period to carry out the annual electrical test for appliances in Council Schools and Care Homes. Supply of PAT service urgently required within Schools and Council Cate Homes to meet legislative requirements. The Council appointed this contractor as a direct award without seeking prior notice because of the urgency of the situation. The Council required to have testing carried out as a matter of urgency to allow Children to return to Schools after the Pandemic restrictions were lifted and contractors could enter Schools and Care Homes to test electrical equipment safely. The Council did not have time to carry out a competitive tender exercise and had no option but to source this service from a known supplier who we have previously used after tendering in the marketplace to meet exceptional and time critical demand.
