Tender description

Tenders were invited for inclusion on the framework for provision of Plant with Operator. This contract was to provide operated hired vehicle to Derby City Council's in-house Highway Operations team so they can carry out a variety of civil engineering schemes across the city of Derby From time to time the operator may be asked to carry out duties for other clients within the Derby City Council umbrella. The framework was divided into the following lots: • Lot 1: Up to 5 tonne carrying capacity tipper lorries • Lot 2: 6-12 tonne carrying capacity tipper lorries • Lot 3: 16 tonne carrying capacity tipper lorries • Lot 4: 18-20 tonne carrying capacity tipper lorries • Lot 5: Flatbed Lorries (various carrying capacities with HIAB crane or equivalent) • Lot 6: 9 tonne carrying capacity 'hotbox' lorry • Lot 7: JCB 3CX & Sweeper The framework period was two years with the option to extend for a further 2 years in annual increments.
