Tender description

Following the White Spider Blue Light Data Centre audit, several hardware components of the Blue Light Data Centreinfrastructure have reached an end-of-life stage or are fast approaching a point where they will become unsupportable by the manufacturer.This procurement covers the purchase of the necessary Cisco network hardware components which will safely and reliably maintain the Blue Light Network Infrastructure in the medium term, whilst a full infrastructure replacement is ongoing. The purchase includes Data Centre and access layer switches, security appliances and ancillary components throughout the Blue Light Network. Together these form the communications layer essential to provide operational services to all Coastguard operational locations aswell as within the Data Centres.
