Provision of a Contractor to Deliver the Crematorium Facility at Newtownabbey

Tender description

The project consists of the construction of a new crematorium facility of single storey construction, containing a single chapel, offices,staff areas and associated civil/ landscaping works including a memorial garden and pond, car parking and a double right hand turn lane for access from the Doagh Road (to the new crematorium and to Ballyearl Arts and Leisure Centre). Lot 1: Crematorium facility which will include: construction of a brick building (950m2) including chapel, offices and staff areas,utility provision and associated civil/landscaping works(4.2 ha)including a memorial garden and pond, car parking (100 spaces) and a double right hand turn lane for access from the Doagh Road. The facility will incorporate a number of sustainability features including photovoltaics (PVs) and sustainable drainage systems (SuDS). A BREEAM rating of 'Excellent' is being targeted.
