Contract for Preparation of a South West Wales Regional Economic Delivery Plan

Tender description

This commission is to prepare a Regional Economic Delivery Plan for South West Wales, that will be an extension of the new Regional Economic Framework that is being co-produced by Welsh Government. The Regional Economic Delivery Plan will guide economic regeneration activities in the region over the next 15 years, and set out a detailed strategic framework (building on the REF vision and priorities) and short, medium and long term actions to achieve the vision and objectives. It is expected that the Regional Economic Delivery Plan will encompass the following areas: enterprise and innovation; business support; inward investment; skills and employability; infrastructure; and the digital agenda. Consultants will be expected to develop a good understanding of the regional economy, rural and urban areas, and the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats being faced. They will need to draw upon this information when undertaking all stages of this commission, to ensure that the Regional Economic Delivery Plan is tailored to the unique needs and characteristics of all parts of South West Wales.
