Tender description

Construction of a new elevated 3 storey building adjacent to the existing Emergency Department. The building will consist of 10 ICU beds and 4 ICU isolation lobbies on Level 1 (First Floor) with office accommodation and both internal and screened external plant areas at Level 2 (Second Floor). The development will also comprise of modifications to the ambulance arrivals area and local services infrastructure upgrades and rationalisation in the vicinity of the proposed new building. The proposed development is located to the north eastern side of the Clinical Services Building (Block N), on the western side of the hospital campus. The proposed building will be up to three storeys high, the ground floor (Level 00) will not be developed under this scope; Level )) will comprise lifts shafts, and evacuation lobby, some screening and structural elements. A small basement will be provided to gain access to the existing Block N carpark and to route critical utility services from the basement of Block N into the new building. There will be services interconnections with the existing Clinical Services Building (Block N).
