Tender description

The Depot require facilities networking infrastructure and connectivity to serve the two units (Depot #01 and Depot #02). The connectivity is required to facilitate CCTV which is crucial to the security of The Depot which will lead direct to City Watch. A critical point in this is an internet connection. After consultation with the Depot builders IT consultant and LCC IT, looking at the costings of various technologies to obtain an internet connection, it has been advised that a wireless leased line (business grade dedicated internet service) that is delivered via microwave technology is the best solution. The installation of the microwave technology, plus all associated necessary hardware together with monitoring of the connection 24 hours a day 365 days a year over a three year period, is to be covered by the cost indicated. The cost for this contract will come from the Film Office LRFLM earmark reserve which was approved in May 2021, where it was indicated that spend would be necessary for some elements of The Depot fit out.
