Bath & North East Somerset Council give prior notification of the issue of a tender enquiry package for bridge demolitions works. Please note that currently there is no commitment to progress this until both land and funding is in place. Therefore at this stage we are commencing the procurement process to engage with the market only. The bridge demolition works concern two, soon to be redundant, gas infrastructure bridges which span the River Avon in Bath, South West England and are located as follows: • West Gas Pipe Bridge 51.384039, -2.381415 • East Gas Pipe Bridge 51.384596, -2.379491 As part of this PIN the Council wishes to engage with specialist contractors with the resource and expertise in bridge demolition works in constrained site environments to understand the contractor perspective regarding the works. The Contract Notice containing a Restricted Tender procedure is anticipated to be issued in early November 2021 following the procurement timetable outlined in the attachment.
