Cambuslang Park and Ride

Tender description

New Cambuslang Park and Ride facility situated off Bridge Street, Cambuslang. These works are divided into 2 phases and comprise of site clearance, drainage, footway, and carriage construction (including widening of Bridge Street), retaining wall construction, road marking, road signing and street lighting. Phase 1 of the works involves the widening of Bridge Street, Park and Ride access road and works towards the South. Phase 2 of the works involves any works towards the North of the Park and Ride access road. A mini competition was conducted under Lot 3 of the South Lanarkshire Council NEC3 Road Contractors Framework Agreement. The following weightings were used to determine the most economically advantageous tender: Quality (Technical) 30% Price (Commercial) 70% In evaluating the Technical element, the Council took forward, unchanged, the existing Technical Scores from Framework appointment. In addition, contractors were also required to provide a Method Statement, Tender Programme and a minimum total of 70 points of Community Benefits as part of their bid to assist with the Evaluation Process.
