LONDON BOROUGH OF REDBRIDGE REVIEW & RECOVER Redbridge Council is working with businesses in the borough to support with their recovery and to help them address the challenges caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. Businesses in all sectors have been affected in different ways and SMEs need support to adapt to new ways of working, while trying to retain and grow their customer base. There are additional challenges caused by Brexit that have affected business supply chains and some of the changes may have affected businesses that had contracts with suppliers in the EU. The Business and Enterprise service has established a business support service to assist businesses through the periods of lockdown and to support them with the challenges caused by the COVID 19 pandemic. Regular conversation with businesses including surveys and consultations have provided information about the type of support and assistance that businesses need to be able to recover and continue trading in the 6-12 months. The funding for this project is only available until 31 March 2022. However, activities within the programme will continue beyond this date. The appointed provider will be expected to work with the Council to continue delivering the activities within this project after March 2022.
