Tender description

The Mounted Branch is vital to the effectiveness of 24 hour operational policing, hence, the care, health and welfare of these working animals is imperative. Lancashire is seeking the services of one veterinary practice to provide a reliable and effective pro-active and reactive veterinary service for their police horses numbering 18/20 horses. The veterinary service will need to cover five prime areas: - Veterinary consultation; minor treatment and referrals - Surgery to include overnight accommodation of animals where appropriate - 24/7 Emergency call out and treatment, 365/6 days a year - The supply of medication and associated veterinary care products - Animal dental treatment
