Provision of services for horticultural statistics

Tender description

Provide annual data to the Defra statistics team on the volumes of production and values of key horticultural crops (fruit, vegetables and ornamentals) that growers receive. This data is used to produce statistics that meet UK and EU requirements. The statistics produce annual estimates of the UK supply of horticultural produce and the share of UK consumption and production of UK farm accounts. The data will become part of an ongoing time series of horticultural statistics. There is a statutory requirement for this data; the information is required to fulfil Regulation (EC) No 543/2009 for the provision of horticulture production statistics to Eurostat.
