<p>The Council operates 8 HWRS across Leeds, the sites have undergone major redevelopment in recent years and remain a key part of delivering safe, flexible, high quality, efficient and reliable waste services. The sites offer residents opportunity to reuse/recycle/dispose of a broad range of materials including paint and similar materials. The main objectives for the Council in relation to this contract are: &bull; Delivery of a high-quality service supporting the overall aims of the HWRS &bull; Maximise paint diversion from disposal &bull; Control of service costs including contractors identifying efficiencies and sharing savings &bull; Maximise added benefits through delivering the service The Contractor will be required to provide and service paint banks on the eight HWRS in the Leeds district, at all times maintaining capacity in the banks so they can be properly used by residents. The Contractor will be responsible for the collection, storage, processing, transportation and delivery to end markets of all materials collected. The waste that this contract relates includes: &bull; Paint &bull; Varnish &bull; Wood preserves &bull; White spirit &bull; Dried paint &bull; Similar related materials The duration of the contract is yet to be determined but the contract start date will be November 2022.</p> Keywords: paint disposal
