<p>This is purely for Quote only for the below specification. The Vale Cemetery and crematorium situated at Butterfield Green Road in Luton has a large demographic that covers all the various communities in Luton, including the Muslim Community .It is often a requirement from the Muslim community that a concrete chamber is provided at the time of burial . It is also a requirement that the funeral takes place at the earliest possible moment , usually the same day . Currently we dig new Muslim graves on the day and provide the pre cast chambers as required. This has worked well in the past, but due to the Covid pandemic this has at times been very stress full due to the increased demand for same day burials,. We are looking at the option of having a series of pre dug chambers dug that can then be re opened as required. Section 2: Service Requirement We currently have two strips of land approximately 32 meters in length facing in the appropriate Easterly direction . either side of a path , which should make access easier for mourners. Tenders are sought for pre cast chambers adult buried to a depth that would leave approximately 20 inches of soil above the lid of the chamber and ground level . Lids must be able to be lifted from the grave so that coffin can be placed in the chamber.As chamber sizes may vary between suppliers, they would need to confirm how many chambers could be fitted in the area specified. Also they would need to stipulate the sizes of each adult chamber both internal measurements( height ,length ,width) and external measurements. The contractor will also be responsible for removing excess soil, that would need to be removed from site. We will accept 2 quotes one to include removal and one to exclude removal of excess soil. Also a time frame as to how long it would take to fit the chambers should be supplied .</p> Keywords: Burial, Chambers
