Tender description

VCs are funded annually by the Government of Ireland through the Department of Rural and Community Development (DRCD). The current funding levels are a reflection on when each VC was established and are historic in terms of amounts. Each VC submits a separate request for funding to the DRCD for the coming year, with payments made bi-annually. There is a wide variation in the amount of funding granted to each VC and variations across the VCs on the salaries for core staff. It’s in this context that VI on behalf of the DRCD wish to engage the professional services of an organisation/individual to: • conduct a comprehensive review of the current VC funding model • provide recommendations for a framework for the future funding of VCs
