Tender description

Specialist Contractor required to carry out Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) Surveys to inform the preliminary design associated with the Luas Finglas Project as well as any other public transport projects as required. While the primary purpose of this Single Supplier Framework is to complete infrastructure mapping on the Luas Finglas project which comprises an extension to the existing Luas Green line, with four new Stops along its approximate 4km length; these are St Helena’s, Finglas Village, Mellowes Park and Charlestown. The proposed alignment of Luas Finglas will be constructed mostly at grade using grass track and will include a parallel cycle path along much of the route. Two new bridge structures will also be required, one at Broombridge over the existing railway and Royal Canal, and the other at Tolka Valley Park over the Tolka River. There is limited existing information on the utility infrastructure underlying the proposed route. Additional Infrastructure mapping is therefore required to be completed. The single supplier framework will be executed with the successful tenderer for 5 years with an estimated spend of €400k to carry out investigation works on Luas Finglas and similar investigation works on other public transport projects.
