PS/21/20 Victoria Bridge Refurbishment, Kilmarnock (A735 20)

Tender description

To replace the parapets of Victoria Bridge, Kilmarnock and the adjacent retaining walls. As well as, the maintenance painting of the bridge beams, waterproofing of the bridge deck and associated roadworks. Works are to commence early August 2021 for 4 months. The proposed works is to carry out the following: -To undertake parapet upgrading works to the bridge and associated retaining walls. -To hydro demolish and widen the existing parapet plinth along the bridge and the retaining walls. -Remove / replace the expansion joints within the carriageway with the provision of replacing the joints along the footways. -Remove and replace the bridge waterproofing system. -Resurface the carriageway and footways. -Remove the existing paint system from the steel deck elements and re-paint with a suitable new paint system.
