Kickham Barracks Public Realm Development

Tender description

Tipperary County Council, (the Council) is seeking to appoint an experienced works contractor (the Contractor) to deliver a public plaza and new streets in Kickham Barracks. The works include the following elements:- • Demolition of existing buildings • Construction of a new public plaza (Main Plaza- 3915m2) at the south west of the site • Construction of a new public plaza at the centre of the site (Central Plaza-2000m2) • Construction of new access street, including footpaths and car-parking, linking the site entrance on Dillon St to the Central Plaza, 120m in length. • The construction of a new street including footpaths and car-parking, linking the Main Plaza with the Central Plaza, 66m in length • The removal of parts of the existing boundary wall along Dillon St and Davis Road and the construction of new boundary treatments. • Reconfiguration/improvement of the existing Cross St/ Dillon Street junction and on street parking by providing a raised table and mini roundabout. • Boundary treatment • Diversions and Installation of services for each stakeholder • Services include watermains, public lighting foul sewer, CCTV, surface water, Gas, ESB. • The Contractor will be appointed as Project Supervisor Construction Stage (PSCS) under the Health, Safety and welfare at Work (Construction) Regulations.
