Independent Patient Safety Council Project on Clinical Complaints and Patient Safety Incidents Policy and Legislation

Tender description

The Department of Health invites tenders for a research project to provide the Independent Patient Safety Council with an evidence base in formulating recommendations regarding the principles and cultural norms required to underpin patient focused, clinical complaints and patient safety incident management processes. These recommendations would form the foundation for complaints and patient safety incident pathways created within this policy and ultimately legislation and help to ensure it can be successfully embedded within the Irish health service to improve the experience for patients, families and staff involved in patient safety reviews and enable the system to better respond when things go wrong.
