Request for Information (RFI) – Collection, storage and redelivery of household belongings

Aberdeen City Council and Aberdeenshire Council have a legal obligation to provide assistance to their homeless citizens for transportation of their belongings. This service includes: - Removal and Transfer; - Storage. As part of a new initiative to reduce costs Aberdeen City Council and Aberdeenshire Council are conducting market research and investigating the possibility of engaging with one or many suppliers as part of a single supplier or multiple supplier Framework Agreement where requirements will be drawn off as and when required. We are looking for suppliers to download the questionnaire and return it to us. Lot 1: Aberdeen City Council and Aberdeenshire Council have a legal obligation to provide assistance to their homeless citizens for transportation of their belongings. This service includes: - Removal and Transfer; - Storage. Principal Duties In performing this service the Council expect that the Contractor will: - Provide removal, transfer and storage of belongings as determined and notified by each Council’s Housing Support Service, in accordance with Health and Safety Regulations and all associated standards; - Fulfil requests as instructed within 48 hours of request; - Provide short- and long-term storage solutions, often for an unspecified amount of time, and must demonstrate that they have adequate storage to meet the needs of this contract. Project Outline As part of a new initiative to reduce costs Aberdeen City Council and Aberdeenshire Council are conducting market research and investigating the possibility of engaging with one or many suppliers as part of a single supplier or multiple supplier Framework Agreement where requirements will be drawn off as and when required. It is envisaged that by offering a more substantial collective requirement, both Councils and the Contractor could reduce costs.
