ESRI ARC GIS software is a critical suite of software which is used by our NGN field engineers and other operational staff to help identify, maintain and capture gas data information on all our below ground assets and geographical information. Lot 1: ESRI ARC GIS software is a critical suite of software which is used by our NGN field engineers and other operational staff to help identify, maintain and capture gas data information on all our below ground assets and geographical information. NGN's GIS landscape is built up of multiple complex, bespoke systems, which were set up by ESRI and added over time, and contain custom code supported by ESRI. ESRI UK is the official UK distributor of this software and NGN have chosen to work directly with ESRI rather than use a reseller, which is our only other alternative to buy these licences. 3iG are carrying out a major transformation of our GIS platform to the latest version of ARC GIS which is a 12 month project and contracted to 1Spatial with ESRI as a key sub-contractor. NGN are moving to a new Utility Network Model which offers us the opportunity to purchase ELA Licences (Enterprise Licence Agreement) instead of the current fixed Maintenance Agreement, which will offer much more flexibility when buying these licences.The duration of this ELA is 5 years.
