Tender description

Due to increased student numbers and demand for simulator use, there is now a requirement to increase the University’s capacity to provide more access to motion based systems. Therefore, an additional academic motion aerospace design Flight Simulator is required to enable students and researchers to input, test and validate their aircraft designs. Swansea University requirements are to have a fully integrated system comprising of two fully enclosed motion systems and two desktop simulators. Tenderers should indicate if they will be utilising the existing system and updating the current system software or providing a complete new system. Both options are welcome and will be evaluated against the output requirements as detailed below on a Most Economically Advantageous Tender basis. The Simulator(s) must accept aircraft design parameters through a GUI for six degree of freedom, real time, non-linear dynamic flight simulation of air vehicles ranging from Gliders to Spacecraft. The Simulator(s) should include a remote instructor station with full control over the flight simulation functions as well as providing the design data GUI.
