Fire alarm systems maintenance services. Lot 1: This contract shall provide for the Ulster University the maintenance, inspection, testing and repairs of the fire alarm system in accordance with the British Standard and the Manufacturer’s Maintenance Schedule across all of the four campuses, all of which contain a Honeywell Gent fire alarm system. The contractor shall carry out all repairs necessary as a result of both the planned maintenance servicing and break down call-outs of all equipment forming part of the fire alarm system to maintain a fully functional system at all times on an all-inclusive basis on all campuses. The University will require additional devices for end of life replacements for equipment and in new installations. The contractor will be expected to provide and cost the following commissioning services: • end of life device replacements — the contractor will provide the decommissioning and disposal of existing end of life equipment and the installation, testing and commissioning of new replacement equipment. • new installations — the contractor will provide the installation, testing, and commissioning of a new item of equipment. The commissioning costs for both end of life equipment and new equipment will include all labour and associated costs. The estimated total value stated above in section II.1.7) includes the initial 4-year contract period and the option to extend the contract for any periods up to and including 48 months.
