Request for Tender (RFT) for further expansion and improvements of the Ballyhoura Trails Guide App

Tender description

Ballyhoura Country is an inland, mainly rural area in the mid-west of Ireland, at the crossroads of Munster, on the borders of counties Limerick, Cork, and Tipperary. It is a walker's paradise, with over 16 waymarked looped walks in the region. It's also known for adventure tourism, with the Ballyhoura Mountain Bike Trails serving as the main draw. Finally, it has a road cycling hub with four cycling routes ranging from 16 to 82 kilometres. In 2019, substantial work was undertaken to create a Walking Trails Guide App that will provide information on the region's walks as well as information on where to stay, eat, and things to do. The current App is available to download for free, and there were over 6,000 downloads since its launch. This project aims to expand on the current App's success by introducing new design features, functionalities, and practical improvements to the CMS system that will enable us to add more walking trails, road cycle loops, and mountain bike trails in the area.
