MFF 13 2016-20 Supply and Delivery of Stone

Tender description

The objective of this Contract is the supply & delivery of gully blocking Stone for the purpose of creating dams in peat moorlands to create habitat pools and assist in the rewetting of the moors. This Invitation to Tender is for a Framework Agreement for the period 1 October 2016 to 15 March 2020 ("the Framework Period"). This means that, after evaluation of the Tenderers' Forms of Tenders, the Authority will appoint Framework Contractors to carry out the Works at different Sites throughout the Framework Period. The framework process is set out in Section 2 (Instructions on Submitting a Tender). Stone Specification 1. The Stone shall conform to the following requirements, either: 1.1. Gully blocking Stone 1.2. Clean millstone grit; 1.3. Not less than 150mm in any dimension and not greater than 250mm in any dimension; 1.4. The final Specification of the Stone shall be notified to the Contractor at the pre-contract meeting. OR 2. 2.1. Gabion Stone 2.2. Clean millstone grit; 2.3. Standard gabion Stone size 2.4. The final Specification of the Stone shall be notified to the Contractor at the pre-contract meeting.
