Tender description

Ireland is considering bidding to host a major international sporting event (hereinafter referred to as the “Event”). The Major Events Division in the Sport function of the Department of Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media requires economic advisory and consultancy services in connection with the Event. Any successful tenderer would be required to provide services that enable the conduct of: a) Economic Impact Assessments and b) A Cost Benefit Analysis. Depending upon the outcome of that assessment and analysis and decisions by the Department and others, it is also possible that: c) Assistance with the preparation of a bid and of bid documentation would be required to support any bid for the Event that may arise. Interested parties should note that due to the commercially sensitive nature of information relating to the Event (including the identity of the Event), further information will be provided only to those willing to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement in order to receive more complete information (the necessary Non-Disclosure Agreement is available with this advert). A redacted version of the RFT has been included with this advertisement which omits certain confidential information relating to the Event and is intended to offer as much transparency to this process as can be afforded in advance of the signing of a Non-Disclosure Agreement by the respective interested parties. Interested parties must return the appropriately signed Non-Disclosure Agreement by 17:00 on Monday 31st May 2021. On receipt of an appropriately signed Non-Disclosure Agreement prospective tenderers will receive further information by 17:00 on Tuesday 1st June 2021 at the latest to enable them to tender. The Department will accept scanned copies of a signed Non-Disclosure Agreement returned via e-mail to majorevents@tcagsm.gov.ie using the subject line “Tender NDA”. Please check the cover letter for complete details on that process.
