Tender description

The Bank seeks to appoint two contractors, one who will provide a quality level of maintenance of limited building services and the other to provide some inspection and compliance services. It is anticipated that the contractor will provide services on-site at Threadneedle Street, Moorgate, Debden. The Bank has amended the following documents (Lot 2: Asset Register and Lot 2: Appendix 1b (Pricing Schedule)) to include assets 'Mobile Elevated Working Platform' and 'Scissor Lift'. The Bank would like to amend the contract data as follows: • Clause 5 (Payment) in the contract data for both Lot 1 and Lot 2 to state that: 'The interest rate is 2 % per annum (not less than 2) above the base rate of the Bank of England'; • Clause 8 (Risks and insurance) in the contract data for Lot 1 and Lot 2 to state that: 'The minimum amount of cover for insurance in respect of loss of or damage to property (except the employer's property, plant and materials and equipment) and liability for bodily injury to or death of a person (not an employee of the contractor) arising from or in connection with the contractor's providing the service for any one event is GBP 2 million'. 'The minimum limit of indemnity for insurance in respect of death of or bodily injury to employees of the contractor arising out of and in the course of their employment in connection with this contract for any one event is GBP 2 million'. • (Optional statements) in the contract data for both Lot 1 and Lot 2 to state that: 'If no plan is identified in part two of the contract data. The contractor submits a first plan for acceptance within 4 weeks of the contract date.' (option x 17) in the contract data for both Lot 1 and Lot 2 to state that: 'If option x 17 is used. The service level table in Service Information section 6.3.2.' (option x 19) in the contract data for both Lot 1 and Lot 2 to state that: 'If option x 19 is used. The contractor submits a task order programme to the service manager as stated within section 5 of the service Information.' (option x 20) in the contract data for both Lot 1 and Lot 2 to state that: 'If option x 20 is used (but not if option x 12 is also used). The incentive schedule for key performance Indicators is in (Service Information section 6.3.2). 'A report of performance against each key performance Indicator is provided at intervals of 1 month.'
