Design, build and installation of electrical distribution and lighting in the Queensway tunnel

The Liverpool City Region Combined Authority is seeking expressions of interest from suitably qualified and experienced contractors for the delivery of a design, build and installation contract for Queensway tunnel replacement of the electrical distribution and lighting installation with an LED system complete with all associated control systems. The tunnel will remain operational and all work will be done during planned closures at carriageway level., access to tunnel inverts is 24/7. The Queensway tunnel is a single 4 lane road tunnel under the River Mersey, in the north west of England, between Liverpool and Birkenhead. The existing tunnel lighting infrastructure is approximately 30 years old and requires upgrading. Contract timescale - 18-month contract The project funding is subject to funding approval.
