Provision of a Hate Crime Out of Court Disposal Intervention Course

Tender description

The requirement is for the provision of a Hate Crime 'Out of Court Disposal Intervention' for offenders who commit crimes including: low level physical violence, criminal damage, verbal abuse or threatening behaviour, the offence being aggravated by hostility or motivation based on one of the following protected characteristics: • Disability • Race • Religion • Transgender Identity • Sexual Orientation. The course will be an integral part of a 3-force pilot, sanctioned by the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP), to investigate the effectiveness of an approach to Hate Crime which diverts offenders away from the Criminal Justice System (CJS) and into a rehabilitative pathway, using Out of Court Disposals.
