RFT for the provision of Archival Cataloguing and Physical Arrangement of Historical Records (located in Cork) for the Military Archives.

Tender description

The Department of Defence (the “Contracting Authority”) represented by the Military Archives, invites tenders from economic operators specialising in professional archival services, for the provision of the services as described in Appendix 1 to this RFT. This will consist of the provision of professional archival services consisting of: the removal from Collins Barracks, Cork; the offsite archival cataloguing and physical arrangement; and delivery to the Military Archives, Cathal Brugha Barracks, Dublin, of historical personnel files (approx. 50,000-55,000) for the Military Archives. Lot 209573: RFT for the provision of Archival Cataloguing and Physical Arrangement of Historical Records (located in Cork) for the Military Archives. The Military Archives wishes to identify and contact a suitably qualified company to provide professional archiving services in order to carry out the necessary decontamination by irradiation, physical and intellectual processing of records currently stored in the Defence Forces Training Centre, Curragh Camp, for accession to the Military Archives. The total extent of the material is 44 archival boxes and approximately 30 loose bags of material. A site visit will be conducted beforehand.
