Tender description

GMIT the Contracting Authority wish to award a contract under the open procedure for the following project work which involves the upgrade of an existing laboratory preparation room and adjoining office, the formation of a new small laboratory space, the conversion of 2 classrooms into computer lab, the formation of a new changing room and replacement of a section of corridor flooring. The work is concentrated primarily in 2 corridors over 2 floors. See site layouts (Drawing No 1 & 2). This will be a turnkey project which will be ready to move into upon completion. The main elements involved are as follows: • Demolitions • Construction of new partitions / formation of door openings • Electrical alterations / Installations. • Mechanical alterations / Installations. • Alteration of Installation of suspended ceilings • Decoration. • Floor finishes. • Installation of furniture (benching, shelving & storage units).
