Dublin Bus are seeking to select a panel of suitably qualified Main Contractors to invite to tender for Pyrite Removal and Remediation Harristown Contract 2 The existing Harristown building and site require remedial works to deal with the presence of Pyrites and the damage caused to date. The works to rectify the impact of pyrites on the building require full removal of floor slab and all of the sub-floor hardcore below the floor slab followed by the reinstatement of a new floor in all areas with new hardcore subfloor. Remediation works to certain areas (Contract 1) will have been completed before the commencement of this Contract (Contract 2) The works consists of ( this is a non-exhaustive list) 1. This contract, referred to as Contract 2, is to be carried out in five phases. These phases are indicatively outlined in the accompanying drawings. The tender to be issued for Contract 2 will outline in greater detail the phasing requirements. 2. There are six main areas of works in this contract. The Maintenance Workshop, the Night Service Bays, the Articulated Workshop, the Parts Store, the Tyre Stores and the external Hydrant & Sprinkler pumphouses. 3. The maintenance workshop require removal of the existing floor slabs, pyrites fill underneath, new fill install and new concrete slabs installed in the workshops and around vehicle entry / exits. Mechanical and electrical services will require a combination of protection for retention, temporary removal and / or replacement. Workshop works also include the installation of a platform vehicle lift with associated civil works. 4. The night service bays will require removal of the existing floor slabs, pyrites fill underneath, new fill install and new concrete slabs. Mechanical and electrical services will require a combination of protection for retention, temporary removal and / or replacement. Removal and re-instatement of bus wash equipment will be required. A new temporary fuelling station may form part of the requirements in this area of the building.
