English Language Tests for London Licensed Private Hire Drivers – Speaking and Listening

Tender description

TfL is awarding a contract for the provision of a web-based English language speaking and listening assessment test. The test will provide a robust and consistent way to assess that private hire drivers applicants meet the English language standard at level B1 on the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) or above. The test will be accessible to the applicants via a portal (hosted by TfL in-house) and the service provider will mark the speaking and listening element of the test. In addition the service provider will provide associated services including training, maintenance and support for appeals process. Lot 1: The procurement of supplier to provide a web-based English language speaking and listening assessment test including but not limited to: — mobilisation and activities from contract commencement date to operational commencement date, — tests marking, — tests reports, — periodical reporting, — maintenance. Initial contract value is GBP 2 054 250. Maximum contract value is GBP 4 108 500 if the contract term is extended for additional 3 years.
