Life Safety Systems Upgrade Summer Works

Tender description

The scope of work for the Life Safety Systems Electrical Upgrade project includes as follows:- a) Isolation, removal and disposal of the redundant Fire Alarm and Emergency Services to a licenced waste facility b) Provision of supplementary containment systems as required to fully contain all new wiring and cabling systems – existing containment to be retained and re-used where feasible subject to compliance with trunking space factors c) Upgrade the existing Distribution Boards to provide Emergency Lighting Central Test Facilities in accordance with IS 3217 and new dedicated power supplies for the Fire Alarm System and new Door Hold Open Devices in accordance with IS3218 d) New Emergency Lighting System throughout the campus to current IS 3217 standard. e) New Category L3 Fire Detection & Alarm System throughout the campus to current IS3218 standard f) All associated alterations to the existing electrical services installations g) Testing & commissioning and certification of the upgraded Life Safety Systems and electrical installations h) All associated builders works, opening up, making good, weatherproofing, fire proofing and re-decoration to match existing finishes i) Full contract clean of the entire school buildings prior to handover j) Maintenance of the new installations for the defects liability period (12 months) The Electrical Contractor shall supply all labour, materials, equipment and engineering services, and perform all works necessary to install the complete, tested, commissioned, and operational Life Safety Systems and Electrical systems in accordance with the Specification and Drawings.
