NHSGG&C - Dava Street Stores - Electrical Heating Project

Tender description

The electrical services work shall comprise of upgrading the existing electrical system installation within the Dava Street Warehouse site in accordance with the following sections of this Specification and Electrical Tender Drawings The existing Warehouse has no existing heating system. There is some local task heating installed at STRATEGIC LOCATIONS. This project will provide electrical radiant heating to Main Warehouse area. The existing local task heating will remain as is. To achieve, an electrical power upgrade will be required from DNO (SPEN). A budget quotation for this work is provided within the appendices of this report. The contractor will apply for the DNO upgrade and manage all interfaces with the SPEN. The contractor will install all electrical components which will provide a working system as described in these documents. The contractor will employ MCE controls to install the control systems required by this project. The contractor will manage all interfaces with the control’s contractor, including CDM, access and NHS interfaces. The contractor will include all interfaces within their programme of works. There will likely be an element of out of hours / weekend working required to achieve the installation works. The contractor will make all allowances for this within their bid. The contractor will provide the following: o New Incoming LVAC Switchboard. o New Distribution Boards o New LVAC Cabling o New Containment and all interfaces and supplementary steel works as necessary o New Radiant Heating Panels o New Controls and all interfaces The contractor will provide a staging changeover plan to switch over the existing DNO power supply from to the new upgraded DNO Supply. It is likely that this changeover will be at weekend / out of hours.
