LGH1437C - IMR - Supply of a Metal Powder Bed Fusion Machine

Tender description

Tenders are sought for the supply, delivery and installation of a Laser based Metal Powder Bed Fusion Machine to be used in a research and development capacity in the area of product and component production. The equipment must fall under the ISO /ASTM 52900 -15 designation for a powder bed fusion machine in its architecture and operating principle. The tender also seeks required accessories and equipment that enable the safe and efficient operation of said machine. This should be inclusive of operational training and an advisory capacity for facilitation of the installation area. The purpose of this procurement exercise is to supply IMR with the appropriate equipment to facilitate R&D on behalf of the Irish manufacturing sector. This piece of equipment will be primarily used to drive innovations and new product development in the area of injection molding. Beyond this body of work the machine will be leveraged to fulfil other research gaps identified by the team in IMR.
