HEE requires the provision of Transition to Consultancy - Virtual Course for Senior Doctors in Postgraduate Training to the specification and scope as outlined below: The primary objectives of this procurement are; a) To understand the true role of a consultant in the modern NHS and to prepare senior trainees for transition to consultant roles b) To gain an appreciation of the business aspect of healthcare provision and the role consultants play c) To learn the necessary self-management skills to ensure an effective work-life balance d) To understand the part the GMC plays as regulator and ensure compliance e) To develop presence as a new leader and identify strengths and strategies to address weaknesses f) To recognise the protocols and processes needed to deliver a safe and robust clinical service g) To understand and learn to work with the wider stakeholder agenda To become an exception mentor of up-coming junior staff
