Tender description
You are invited to attend the upcoming virtual Ayrshire Meet the Buyer event on 28 April 2021. South Ayrshire Council, in partnership with North Ayrshire and East Ayrshire Councils, has partnered with the Supplier Development Programme to organise this annual Ayrshire Meet the Buyer event, to be delivered as a virtual event. The theme of this event is, “Community Wealth Building.” This free procurement event covers the whole of Ayrshire, and affords suppliers direct access to buyers and decision makers from across the three local authorities and other public and private sector organisations, with the opportunity to raise your profile as a business and prepare for upcoming contract opportunities. There will also be a formal agenda programme, where you can hear from a range of expert speakers, ask live questions and receive answers. The event is FREE to attend and open to all, but you must register in advance. Please register at your earliest opportunity on the Supplier Development Programme website by visiting https://www.sdpscotland.co.uk/events-ayrshire-mtb/. You are invited to attend the upcoming Ayrshire Meet the Buyer 2021: Live Virtual Event on 28th April 2021. The Supplier Development Programme, in partnership with East Ayrshire, North Ayrshire and South Ayrshire councils, has scheduled this pan-Ayrshire annual event in an alternative format, as a live, virtual online event, which aims to engage suppliers in open and connected procurement across the public sector and support efforts towards economic recovery from the COVID-19 crisis whilst complying with on-going restrictions on face-to-face gatherings in Scotland. This year's Ayrshire Meet the Buyer event aims to help local businesses understand the Community Wealth Building strategy, and find out what contract opportunities are available both within the three councils and further afield, across a range of sectors. Participants will explore how to do business with public sector buyers and gain an operational understanding of how to become part of supply chains. All suppliers are welcome. You can join the conversation on social media by using the #AyrshireMeetTheBuyer and #PowerOfSDP hashtags. Bringing together buyers from the public sector, including the three Ayrshire local authorities, Universities and Colleges, Construction, Transport and many more, the event offers businesses an unparalleled opportunity to speak directly to a wide range of purchasers and decision-makers online. In addition, there will be large private contractors exhibiting at this virtual event that are keen to engage with new suppliers and promote their sub-contract opportunities. Suppliers will be able to visit virtual “stands” to download electronic copies of buyer information, leaflets, and upcoming contract opportunities as well as participate in live one-to-one discussion with buyers, exchange digital business contact details with buyers and suppliers, access an online meeting space, and more. A full list of exhibitors is available at https://www.sdpscotland.co.uk/events-ayrshire-mtb/
