Consultancy support to develop an overarching Climate Change Strategy and Action Plan for Derbyshire County Council

Tender description

To work with Derbyshire County Council to develop an overarching Climate Change Strategy and Action Plan which will direct the Council's future Climate Change Programme moving forward. The key aims of this commission are to: • Develop the Council's Climate Change Strategy and Action Plan to support the delivery of the Council's Carbon Reduction Plan and achieve a reduction in Council emissions to net zero by 2032 • Map the Council's role and approach to tackling climate change across the county through working with stakeholders and communities • Build upon existing, proposed and potential activity identifying those actions that will make demonstrable impact whilst also exploring potential gaps in the organisation's existing approach • Identify short, medium and long-term priorities and the resources and capacity required to deliver agreed priorities • Develop a timed and sequenced plan to direct the delivery of the Council's Climate Change Programme • Develop the Council's Climate Change Strategy and Action Plan drawing upon best practice and research.
