Take and Make Recipe Boxes Easter 2021

Tender description

The contract will be with the Mayor’s Fund for London to provide Take and Make Recipe boxes to children attending Southwark’s Easter of Food and Fun holiday programme. These weekly boxes will be provided to children in addition to a healthy meal that meets School Food Standards which will be given to all children attending the programme each day. Each box contains four portions and all the ingredients required to cook a healthy meal from scratch. There are several vegetarian recipe boxes to choose from and all take into consideration allergies and religious preferences. They are designed to get children learning to cook in their homes, with their siblings and carers. Every box contains step by step instructions plus online video tutorials. They extend the reach of the benefits of holiday provision into the home environment, helping to build skills and behaviours that last beyond the holiday period. They are a high quality, healthy and educational solution to holiday provision. They encourage a positive relationship with food that promotes good health, wellbeing and enjoyment of cooking
