Tender description

Derry City and Strabane District Council (DCSDC) require professional services in relation to the continuing roll out of its brand (brand guidelines can be found in the appendices for the consideration of interested parties/suppliers) on corporate signage systems and specific internal and external schemes. This includes the production and fitting of internal and external signage at key council facilities as well as a council area boundary scheme. Suppliers are invited to submit a proposal for the supply and installation of corporate external and internal signage systems across a range of Council properties and locations. It should be noted by the suppliers that the price given will include site surveys, any drafting of specific schemes, plans and proposals; manufacturing and safe installation of a range of signage schemes. This price will be a true representation of what it will cost Derry City and Strabane District Council to have the aforementioned signage installed on the locations as detailed. Submitted prices may also be used to provide a true representation of what it will cost Derry City and Strabane District Council to commission additional and or similar signage products and services outside the scope of the works. Suppliers wishing to submit a proposal should use the details within the appendix as the guide for the scope of the work involved with this tender. Within the appendix suppliers will find the following information, which should assist in giving an accurate proposal to Council: Suppliers are required or arrange a site visit to specific schemes outlined within this document including Council properties and boundary locations. This is to ensure that the proposal is fully informed and accurate as to each specific location requirements. Suppliers must comply with all relevant codes of practice for the installation and maintenance of signage systems. Derry City and Strabane District Council reserve the option to appoint and or retain more than one supplier for services based on costs, specifications, scale and project requirements. Essential Requirements and or Brief Suppliers are invited to submit a proposal for the production, supply and installation of signage across a range of locations. Suppliers wishing to submit a proposal should use the details within the examples as the guide for the scope of the work involved with this quotation request – type of sign, dimensions, quantity, material used and further installation materials required (where necessary). It is vital that companies wishing to submit proposals for the aforementioned work are competent and have experience in the tasks required as previously outlined. Suppliers will be requested to elaborate on stage 1 of the procurement process as laid out in section ‘Evaluation/Award Criteria’ in order to demonstrate such competencies. Specifications, sizes, product, fitting and finish may change and the successful company will be required to reflect these changes in updated estimates and all final costings. Derry City and Strabane District Council reserve the option to retain more than one supplier for services based on costs, specifications and project and or procurement requirements.
