The Queensway tunnel is 3.2km and is a single bore tunnel with four lanes of traffic two in each direction. On completion of successful installation commissioning and site acceptance tests the supplier will provide a three year support contract to maintain the system through a bedding in period. This will include an option to extend the support period into a fourth year.
