The Metropolitan Police Services (MPS) has 2 car pounds that are used to store seized and crime related vehicles. MPS vehicle recovery and examination services (VRES) manage these sites. Both sites are operated 24/7, 365 days a year and are the forefront of policing. Unlocking services are mainly for vehicles that have been involved in crime or seized by the MPS. Lots: Lot 1: Perivale Pound and offsite within the MPS area;: Lot 2: Charlton Pound and offsite within the MPS area; Lot 3: Perivale and Charlton Pound and offsite within the MPS area. Currently, the Metropolitan Police Services (MPS) has 2 internally operated car pounds that are used to store seized and crime related vehicles. MPS vehicle recovery and examination services (VRES) manage these sites on a daily basis. Both sites are operated 24/7, 365 days a year and are the forefront of major policing operations. Vehicles that will require unlocking are mainly vehicles that have been involved in crime and require forensic examination along with a smaller percentage of vehicles, which have been seized by the MPS. The MPS have 3 lots available: Lot 1: Perivale Pound and offsite within the MPS area; Lot 2: Charlton Pound and offsite within the MPS area; Lot 3: Perivale and Charlton Pound and offsite within the MPS area. MPS Area divided into 2 areas; the following boroughs support 1) Perivale Pound (lot 1) — Barnet, Brent, Camden, Ealing, Enfield, Hammersmith and Fulham, Harrow, Haringey Hillingdon, Hounslow, Islington, Kensington and Chelsea, Kingston upon Thames, Merton, Richmond upon Thames, Sutton, Wandsworth, Westminster; 2) Charlton Pound (lot 2) — Barking and Dagenham, Bexley, Bromley, Croydon, Greenwich, Hackney, Havering, Lambeth, Lewisham, Newham, Redbridge, Southwark, Tower Hamlets, Waltham Forest.
