Tender description

The London Aerospace and Technology College (LATC) project is to construct a new build education facility within the boundary of London Biggin Hill Airport (LBHA). This will be an industry standard centre of excellence for STEM education, skills and training. Once complete, LATC will address the shortage of skilled labour in aeronautical industries nationally through new provision at LBHA. By providing aerospace and aviation pathways at LBHA, supported by satellite delivery in Greenwich (close to City Airport in Newham and 15 mins from LSEC Bexley), it is expected that 490 new entrants to the industry will be enabled annually. The project is part funded by the GLA. The procurement will be by contract notice and competitive tender published on OJEU. The participation and award criteria will be confirmed in the contract notice. The works will be awarded as one lot on a design and build contract. The contract form and amendments will be confirmed in the tender documentation.
